Why
Because nonprofit service providers are at risk.
The support system for organizations providing services begins with resources coming from infrastructure and capacity building organizations and includes networks and associations for delivery and support. In 2008, the economic crisis demonstrated that the existing support system was inadequate in delivering resources and providing assistance to nonprofit service providers. Infrastructure and capacity building organizations could not connect with service providers. As a result, while demand for services is growing, the ability to provide services is declining and many service providers are at risk of closing.
How
We deliver the resources of infrastructure and capacity building organizations through networks and associations to nonprofit service providers on a large scale and more efficiently.
As networks offer more free and discounted resources, they attract more service providers. When the number of service providers grows, more infrastructure and capacity builders use the networks to deliver their resources, which again attracts more service providers.
HelpSmart networks include Animals & Habitats, Christian Capacity, Emergency Response Network, Restorative Justice Community, and Share Network USA. There are over 25,000 organizations associated with these initiatives and that number is growing daily. More information about the networks is available by clicking the name in the right column.
